School Political Science and Social Science Held Academic talk ‘Superstitions in Social Media : Social and Political Implications’
    

     On Thursday,17th July ,2025, the School of Political Science and Social Science (SPSS)  held the academic talk of political science and social science (the  2nd activity) on the topic ‘Superstitions in Social Media : Social and Political Implications’ with the speakers : Assistant Professor Dr.Atthasit Muangin and Assistant Professor Sarawut Wisaprom  and moderated by Mr.Siwatch Wannakomol, the lecturers of the Department of Political Science , the SPSS. The talk was held at the Muang Phayao Conference room , the IT and Communications building , the University of Phayao and were attended by the administration , lecturers , and students of the SPSS.


     Associate Professor Montra Pongnil , the dean of SPSS, delivered a speech to welcome the participants, emphasizing the school’s roles of knowledge exchange, academic works and research disseminations between the staff, students and enthusiasts. Those roles also include developing the learners to be the State and Society Innovators , the persons with a sense of self-development with the knowledge of political and social science. This includes innovative skills and system change driving to sustainably develop community and society and to exchange knowledge, bringing about the development and the enhancement of the school’s academic knowledge.


      The aims of this project are to support the exchange of knowledge and research of political and social science between the staffs, students and enthusiasts and to disseminate the knowledge derived from their teachings and learnings and research to the public.

       

         The project ‘ Superstitions in Social Media : Social and Political Implications’ offers an insight into the contemporary topic with the knowledge of political and social science , emphatically analyzing the current situations via the political and social perspectives. Not only does this project create the opportunity for the critical knowledge exchange but also fosters the skills of critical thinking and interdisciplinary knowledge of the learners. This includes advancing the mission of the school to produce knowledge relevant to society and vigorously facilitating the conversations between the university and the community.
