On March 28, 2025, at 08:30 a.m., the School of Education organized the Project on Teacher Enhancement and Professional Development Activities in accordance with the Professional Standards of the Teachers Council of Thailand, Activity 1, entitled “Promotion of Communication Skills for Lifelong Learning,” which was held at Room UB004, 99th Anniversary Building of Phra Ubali Khunupamajarn, University of Phayao. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the dean of the School of Education, was the president to open the project, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawut Supphaso and Ms. Metika Lertpatthama, Assistant Deans, as well as Assistant Professor Dr. Wannakorn Pornprasert, a lecturer in the field of Educational Measurement and Evaluation, the Head of Work, supporting staff,the School of Education Student Association, and the First-year students of the School of Education, participated in the activity in an orderly and unified manner. The event was honored by Dr. Apiwat Kansriwiang, Phayao Provincial Education Officer, who delivered a special lecture on the topic, “Blueprint for Future Teachers: The Application of Educational Media and Technology to Enhance Professional Teacher Competencies in the Context of Lifelong Learning.” This topic constitutes a significant aspect in developing students’ potential in alignment with the rapid changes of the digital era. Subsequently, a teaching media competition for first-year students was conducted. The activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of educational media, innovation, and technology, as well as to strengthen their skills in designing, producing, and effectively applying instructional media. Furthermore, it served as a platform for knowledge exchange among students, faculty members, and experts under the theme: “Academic Excellence, Professional Teaching Expertise, and Innovation in Instructional Media Development.” The activity was further honored by a panel of distinguished experts, namely Dr. Watcharin Kaenchun, Dr. Athipong Phetkoet, and Ms. Jintana Baepdib, a lecturer in the Thai Language Program, Faculty of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao. They served as judges for the competition and provided valuable academic recommendations, which will contribute to the development of the identity of School of Education students and better prepare them for the teaching profession in the future. This activity is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
