October 21, 2025 – The Faculty of Science at the University of Phayao welcomed a distinguished expert committee to monitor and evaluate the research project "Restoration and Conservation of Forest Ecosystems at the University of Phayao Border Area, Conservation Forest, and Ban So Community Forest to Promote Sustainable Development" under the "1 Faculty 1 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)" initiative for fiscal year 2025. The evaluation took place at Wat Ban So, Moo 2, Mae Na Ruea Sub-district, Mueang District, Phayao Province.

Associate Professor Dr. Sitthisak Pinmongkhonkul, Dean of the Faculty of Science, along with the faculty's executive team and support staff, extended a warm welcome to the committee. Dr. Patcharin Tangchaisuriya, Associate Dean for Student Development, served as the moderator for the event.
Assistant Professor Dr. Reungruthai Sirirak, Project Leader, presented the project's progress, highlighting efforts in forest restoration and the establishment of sustainable partnerships with local communities. Mr. Jirachai Chaiwong, a local innovator from Ban So, contributed valuable insights about the area and community involvement.
This project exemplifies the Faculty of Science's unwavering commitment to integrating academic research with environmental conservation and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in tangible and sustainable collaboration with local communities.
