The University of Phayao recently organized the 2nd Traveling Council Activities, aimed at Exchanging Knowledge with Media Networks and Community Leaders.


           On Thursday, March 28th, 2024, the Division of General Affairs, Corporate Communications organized the 2nd traveling coffee council activity for media and community leaders as part of the Corporate Public Relations and Communication Network project. The team was comprised of village headmen, assistant village headmen from 18 villages, and representatives from Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality. The group visited the Suan Sapah Farm in Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phayao Province. This farm currently serves as the Khok Nong Na Model Learning Center, with a focus on 100% organic vegetable cultivation. The President of the University of Phayao, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, warmly welcomed the participants and led them on a tour of the organic farming area in the Sapa Farm. He was accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, Vice President for University Communications, Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape, and Dr. Jaruwan Poshyananda, Assistant to the President. The event was attended by over 100 people, including media representatives and community leaders.




           The second event of the Coffee Council aimed to establish a platform for understanding and exchanging academic knowledge between the University of Phayao and the media network and community leaders of Phayao Province. The goal was to collaborate in order to enhance community and social development in Mae Ka Subdistrict.




           Mr. Pariyat Suwan, the village headman of Mae Ka Subdistrict, discussed the success of establishing the Khok Nong Na Model Learning Center through collaboration with the University of Phayao. Veterinarian Somchart Tana, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Institute, mentioned providing support and collaboration with Suan Sapah Farm.
Mr. Laddawan Saengsai, Manager of Baan Suan Sapa Farm, and Mr. Chaowarit Ngamjit spoke about the success of growing 100% organic vegetables and guided the participants through the organic farming practices at Sapa Park. There was a total of 5 bases, as listed below:

- Soil preparation

- Seedling cultivation and management technology

- Integrated pest control

- Organic waste management center

- Organic vegetable growing technology
