On June 9th, 2025, the University of Phayao organized a Level 3 Area-Based Skills Training (HR-Level 3) at Gateway Hotel in Phayao Province. The purpose of the training was to improve staff members' abilities to evaluate the economic and social effects of research.
The event was conducted under the framework of the Creative Economy Promotion Research Project and the Reinventing University for the fiscal year 2025. It was also integrated with the UP Work Life Fit project under the Local Community Development Cluster, which seeks to drive the university's sustainable growth alongside its surrounding communities.
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Samur Thanoy, Vice President for Research and Innovation, who delivered the opening remarks and gave a keynote lecture on "Stakeholder Analysis and Impact Pathway". He was joined by esteemed speakers such as Dr. Warach Madhyamapurush, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Institute, and Assistant Professor Angkana Panthuek, Deputy Director of the Institute for Learning Innovation. Together, they conducted lectures and workshops on impact assessment processes, evaluation tools for economic and social outcomes, and practical methods for applied impact evaluation.
This training aimed to equip university personnel with Level 3 area-based skills, enabling them to assess the economic and social impacts of research, analyze stakeholders and the impact value chain, and apply these principles to create positive and effective societal and economic outcomes. A total of 449 University of Phayao staff members participated in the training session.
