School of Liberal Arts Organizes “French for Professional Purposes”
On August 16–17, 2025, French Department, School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, organized the “French for Professional Purposes” in Lampang Province. The event was held for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in French and the Bachelor of Arts in French and English programs, as part of the course 145461: French for Tour Guiding. The project was coordinated by Dr. Suwanna Dolparadorn.
This activity, the third in a series, aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the hospitality industry and to develop practical skills in French-language tour guiding. Participants visited several key cultural and historical sites in Lampang, including Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, Wat Lai Hin Luang, Wat Sri Chum, Wat Chong Kha, Wat Sri Rong Mueang, and Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao Suchadaram.
The program featured guest lectures and field experiences. Mr. Thossaphol Kengwinij delivered a lecture titled “Geology, the Origin of the Earth, and Earth’s Evolution” at the Lignite Learning Center Museum (Mae Moh Mine). In addition, Ms. Mintra Jureerattanakorn, General Manager of Wienglakor Hotel in Lampang, welcomed students for a professional tour and shared insights through her talk on “Working in Various Sectors of the Hotel Industry.”
This hands-on learning experience offered students both academic knowledge and real-world exposure, supporting their professional development in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
