The School of Science, University of Phayao, excels not only in academics but also continuously strives to promote and preserve local arts and culture. On January 17, 2026, the School sent a team of School members, staff, and students comprising Miss Prakaikaew Wongchaya, Miss Athitaya Chaiwut, Miss Prompthatsorn Asanithikun, and Mrs. Nok Mueangkham, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Reungruthai Siriruk and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipwan Suppasat, to participate in the "Traditional Bamboo-Cooked Sticky Rice Competition" as part of the New Rice Almsgiving Ceremony 2026 held at Khuang Phaya Ngam Mueang, Mueang District, Phayao Province.
The competition results showed that the representative team from the School of Science was able to win the championship trophy with great pride, bringing honor to the School of Science. The participation in this activity reflects the commitment to preserving cultural heritage, which aligns with the school’s mission to produce graduates who are equipped with knowledge, competence, and understanding of their community roots.
