The School of Energy and Environment-SEEN, University of Phayao, organized a workshop titled “Smart Water for Local: Digital-Era Water Management for Local Communities” from 22–24 April 2026, at the Mae Na Ruea Subdistrict Administrative Organization Meeting Hall, Phayao Province. The event was attended by representatives from local administrative organizations in Mueang Phayao District, including Mae Ka, Na Ruea, Mae Sai, Mae Tam–Wiang, Ban Tun, Ban Tom, Ban Tam, Tha Champi, San Pa Muang, and Ban Sang.
Mr. Sawintorn Donmoon, Deputy Chief Executive of Mae Na Ruea Subdistrict Administrative Organization, delivered the welcome remarks. The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anusorn Boonpoke, Dean of the SEEN. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sittichai Pimonsree, a SEEN member and project leader, together with a team of experts, conducted the training.
The workshop covered key topics including digital-era water project development (DSLM), water system overview, hydrological cycle, watershed areas, irrigation and non-irrigation zones, as well as principles of water management, core components of DSLM, water balance concepts, and the application of DSLM for problem-solving and effective local water management using digital technologies.
