Shanghai, China, April 23, 2026 – The University of Phayao has marked a significant milestone on the global stage as its President, Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, Ph.D., was invited to deliver a prestigious Leader’s Speech at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Shanghai Climate Week in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China.
This high-level international platform brought together distinguished education leaders from across the world, including representatives from Japan, Brazil, and India. In addition, Associate Professor Phanintra Teeranon, Ph.D. Assistant to the President, was honored to serve as a moderator for the Thematic Reports session under the topic “Education for Growth: Integrating Human Rights, Innovation, and Sustainability.” Her role further highlighted the University’s academic leadership and engagement in global sustainability discourse.
