On April 7-8, 2026, the School of Education, University of Phayao, conducted The School of Education, University of Phayao, conducted “the Curriculum Revision and Development Project in accordance with the Program Standards Criteria and the Thailand Qualifications Framework for Higher Education”. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao, was the president to open the ceremony, and Associate Professor Dr. Raksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, delivered the project report. The event was attended by the University of Phayao executive administrators, the School of Education administrators, lecturers, and supporting staff. The project aims to develop and revise the curriculum in alignment with higher education program standards and the Thailand Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, as well as to enhance the quality of educational management in accordance with professional standards. It also seeks to respond to societal changes in the digital era and to provide opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experiences through the integration of collaborative partnerships in curriculum co-development, which will be beneficial for the advancement of the School of Education’s curricula. The project includes two special lecture sessions, as follows:
Activity 1: A special lecture on the topic, “Accreditation of Educational Degrees and Certificates in accordance with Professional Standards for Professional Practice, B.E. 2567 (2024)”, was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Amornwan Weerathammmo, Secretary-General of the Teachers Council of Thailand (Khurusapha), and Assistant Professor Dr. Phollaraphee Thummaphan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Teachers Council of Thailand.
The activity was held on April 7, 2026, at the Bovornrattanaprasit Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, University of Phayao. Participants included the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assistant to the President, Deans of the School of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, as well as distinguished experts of the School of Education and university personnel.
Activity 2: A special lecture on the topic, “The Spirit of Teacherhood among Instructors in the Teaching Profession,” was held on April 8, 2026, at the Professor Dr. Monthon Sanguansermsri Conference Room, 2nd Floor, University of Phayao Hospital. Participants included program-responsible lecturers from the School of Education, as well as lecturers from partner faculties involved in curriculum co-production.
However, the implementation of this project aims to develop the teaching profession in accordance with the professional standards prescribed by the Teachers Council of Thailand (Khurusapha). It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities and sustainably enhancing the quality of education.
