On 30 May 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, organized the “BCA Unity Camp: Buddy to Better Team” project at the Active Learning Classroom, University of Phayao, under the concept: “A great team does not begin with the most talented individuals, but with people who are willing to move forward together.” The project aimed to promote teamwork, enhance students’ critical thinking and planning skills, and develop their ability to design creative student activities. It also sought to strengthen collaborative networks among student leaders within the school, contributing to a strong student organizational culture and sustainable student development.
On this occasion, Mr. Kamolphong Rattanasanguanwong, Associate Dean for Student Experience and Quality Development, delivered the opening remarks and shared the school’s development direction under the vision: “To be a leading organization in cultivating global entrepreneurs and communicators driven by intelligence and innovation for a sustainable future.” The school emphasizes the holistic development of students in terms of academic readiness, communication skills, leadership, creativity, and adaptability to the rapidly changing global society of the 21st century.
The project was honored by the participation of experienced speakers in student affairs and organizational communication, including Mr. Pokbaworn Poolkrasorn, Educational Academic Officer from the School of Business and Communication Arts; Ms. Sirithorn Rodsalub, Public Relations Officer from the Faculty of Engineering; Ms. Kanpitcha Srijai, Public Relations and Media Development Officer from the Demonstration School, University of Phayao; and Mr. Thanayut Jaengmongkol, Educational Academic Officer from the School of Business and Communication Arts. All four speakers also serve as committee members of the Alumni Association of the School of Business and Communication Arts. Their participation provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge and experience sharing between alumni and current students, while also inspiring a new generation of student leaders.
More than 100 student leaders participated in the project, including representatives from the Student Union of the School of Business and Communication Arts, BCA AMBASSADOR, program presidents, BCA cheerleaders, BCA BAND, and the Songwriting Club.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in lectures and knowledge-sharing sessions on Growth Mindset, team communication techniques, and effective teamwork strategies. Recreational and relationship-building activities, such as Ice Breaking and Buddy Better Team, were also conducted to strengthen unity among participants. In addition, a workshop entitled “Design Thinking for Student Leaders: Think Like a Leader, Create Activities that Understand BCA Students” was organized to provide student leaders with hands-on experience in project design and action plan development, with first-year students of the 2026 academic year serving as the primary target group.
The project also reflected the organization’s core value, “BCA Future Ready,” which focuses on developing lifelong learners who are adaptable to change, capable of collaborative and creative work, and socially responsible.
Furthermore, the project aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the promotion of leadership and lifelong learning skills; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through the development of creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial competencies; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by fostering inclusive learning environments and equal participation opportunities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the establishment of collaborative networks among students, alumni, university personnel, and internal organizations to jointly develop student activities for the sustainable benefit of society.
