The School of Nursing, University of Phayao, held a certificate presentation ceremony for 39 graduates of its Practical Nurse Certificate Program on June 6, 2026, at Room UB002, Phra Ubali Khunupamajan Building. The graduates included students from the 9th cohort of the program and recipients of the High-Vocational Innovation Scholarship under the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), 2nd cohort. Assistant Professor Dao Weiangkham, Ph.D.Dean, School of Nursing, presided over the ceremony and delivered a farewell address to all graduates.
Practical nurses play a vital role in Thailand's healthcare system, supporting patients with daily care needs and serving as a critical link between patients and registered nurses. As Thailand moves deeper into an aging society, demand for nursing personnel at every level continues to grow. Today, more than 65 institutions nationwide offer the Practical Nurse Certificate Program accredited by the Nursing Council of Thailand 35 under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and 30 under the Praboromarajchanok Institute, Ministry of Public Health.
