On June 19–20, 2026, the Division of Building and Facilities, Safety and Security Section, University of Phayao, organized a Survival Swimming project to enhance survival floating and swimming skills at the University of Phayao Swimming Pool. The project aimed to promote water safety knowledge, develop basic life-saving skills, provide training in assisting water accident victims, and raise awareness on drowning prevention among participants.

On the first day of activities, participants received both theoretical and practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED), to build the necessary knowledge and skills for assisting emergency victims correctly and safely.

On June 20, 2026, participants attended a lecture on "Basic Water Hazards and Drowning Prevention" by Nurse Prayong Duangthip, followed by hands-on practice in land-based water rescue techniques, including resuscitation of drowning victims by Nurse Patcharaphon Fokhruea, and the application of triangular bandages in victim assistance by Nurse Anurak Khun-oi. Participants then practiced using life-saving equipment and buoyancy aids in the swimming pool, as well as survival floating and swimming techniques, guided by a team of expert instructors and trainers.

This project helps participants develop skills in lifesaving, drowning prevention, and water survival, while raising awareness of water safety, to encourage the practical application of knowledge in assisting oneself and others effectively and safely.
