On 10 June 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, together with the university executives, welcomed new students during the “Fah Mui Chor 16” orientation program held at Phaya Ngam Muang Auditorium.
The program was organized to help first-year students prepare for university life by strengthening their academic readiness, digital literacy, and essential life skills. Activities were tailored to different academic disciplines, including science and technology, health sciences, and humanities and social sciences, ensuring that students received relevant guidance for their fields of study.
The orientation featured a welcome address by the University President, who shared the University's vision for developing graduates equipped with knowledge, integrity, and the skills needed for the future. Students also participated in the “Live & Learn in Digital World” session, where university leaders introduced strategies for learning, living, and adapting successfully in today's rapidly changing digital society.
Another highlight was “Let's Talk about UP,” where distinguished alumni shared their university experiences, career journeys, and practical advice to inspire new students as they begin their academic life at the University of Phayao.
