BCA

On Tuesday, 25 August 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, was honored to join the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Phayao Province, as an academic lecturer under the “Project for Developing the Potential and Enhancing the Competitiveness of Leading Agricultural SME Customers”. The training was conducted under the course “Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Enhance Operational Efficiency for Entrepreneurs” at Kwan Phayao 2 Meeting Room, BAAC Phayao Provincial Office, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. The session was also livestreamed via Microsoft Teams to extend learning opportunities to BAAC branches under its jurisdiction.

The training featured Assistant Professor Dr. Bangon Sawatsuk, Lecturer in the Accounting Program, and Burin Buntavong, Lecturer in the Digital Marketing Program, School of Business and Communication Arts, as guest speakers. The training focused on the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance operational efficiency across various aspects of business operations, covering business management, business data analysis, accounting, and digital marketing. These areas are considered key mechanisms for strengthening technological skills and supporting the business operations of BAAC’s leading agricultural SME customers, enabling them to enhance their competitiveness in the digital era.

The academic collaboration between the University of Phayao and external organizations not only represents the university’s commitment to providing academic services to society by transferring knowledge and expertise from the academic sector, reflecting the capabilities and professional expertise of the School’s faculty members, but also generates tangible outcomes for the sustainable development of local communities and entrepreneurial networks.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including promoting education and skills development (SDG 4: Quality Education), supporting economic growth (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth), promoting innovation and technology in the business sector (SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and fostering partnerships for sustainable development (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals). The initiative thus demonstrates a concrete partnership for development between an academic institution and a state-owned enterprise.
