The event was organized by the Chinese Studies Center and the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Chinese Studies Center for Learning, both under the Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammasat University.

The meeting took the form of group discussions and rotating sessions, aimed at fostering connections among Chinese language educators from various institutions across Thailand. The event served as a platform for building academic networks and strengthening relationships among professionals in the field of Chinese studies. Participants engaged in thematic discussions on a wide range of topics, including: the Chinese language teaching network in Thailand, the history of Chinese language education in the country, current challenges and conditions of Chinese language instruction, policies and innovations to address these challenges, the history of overseas Chinese in Thailand, their social and cultural contexts, comparisons between past and present generations of overseas Chinese in Thailand, and the issue of “Chinese Shady Business” and proposed solutions.

In addition, the Chinese Studies Center and the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Chinese Studies Center for Learning generously donated several of their publications to the School of Liberal Arts Language Centre, University of Phayao. These materials are intended to enrich the center’s academic resources and to support students and researchers in their scholarly work. Furthermore, advisors from the organizing centers graciously provided a substantial collection of Chinese-language books to the faculty’s representatives, to further facilitate future academic exploration and research.
