Prohibited Entry Categories

According to the Immigration Act of Thailand B.E. 2522 (1979), foreigners who fall into the following categories may be prohibited from entering Thailand:

Having no genuine valid passport or equivalent travel document, or lacking a valid visa issued by the competent Thai authority, except where visa exemption requirements apply.
Having no appropriate means of living following entry into the Kingdom.
Entering the Kingdom to work as an unskilled or untrained labourer, or to work in violation of the Alien Work Permit Law.
Being mentally unstable or having any disease stated in the Ministerial Regulations.
Not having received required vaccination, inoculation or other medical treatment for protection against disease, and refusing treatment administered by an Immigration Doctor.
Having been imprisoned by judgment of a Thai or foreign court, except for petty offences, negligence or exceptions under Ministerial Regulations.
Having behaviour that could endanger the public, disturb peace or national security, or being under an arrest warrant issued by a competent foreign authority.
Being reasonably believed to enter for prostitution, trafficking, drug smuggling or other smuggling contrary to public morality.
Having no money or bond as prescribed by the Minister under Section 14 of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979).
Being prohibited by the Minister under Section 16 of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979).
Having been deported, expelled or had the right of stay revoked by Thailand or another country, unless an individual exemption is granted by the Minister.
