Between 3 – 6 September 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by its executive team, program chairs, and School members, organized the “Networking Initiative on Cooperative Education and Curriculum Development, School of Engineering, University of Phayao” The initiative aimed to enhance the quality of graduates by equipping them with competencies aligned with the needs of industry and the future directions of national development.
As part of this initiative, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, fostered collaboration with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (Rayong Campus) and several industrial enterprises located in Rayong Province, which is recognized as a strategic hub for industrial production and innovation in Thailand. The collaboration primarily encompasses the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
In addition, the delegation visited laboratories and training centers at the MARA Institute, along with other affiliated organizations, to explore models of instructional design, practical training, and the integration of advanced technologies in higher education. Insights gained from these visits are expected to inform the modernization and continuous development of the engineering curricula at the University of Phayao, ensuring that they remain high-quality, forward-looking, and responsive to the dynamics of 21st-century industry.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in advancing academic and cooperative education partnerships. It not only enriches student learning by bridging academic knowledge with real-world professional experience, but also strengthens curriculum development to address the challenges of the industrial sector while promoting sustainable national growth.
