Assistant Professor Dr. Potejanasak Potejana, School of Engineering, University of Phayao (UP), in collaboration with Rushmore Precision Co., Ltd., organized a hands-on workshop on “Nano-Innovation for Railway Engineering and the Application of Smart Microscope in Nanoengineering” during 9–10 September 2025 at Rooms EN3304 and EN3305, School of Engineering, University of Phayao.
The workshop focused on transferring advanced knowledge and practical skills in nanofabrication and nanoscale analysis using the newly developed Smart Microscope—an intelligent tool that significantly enhances research capacity and industrial applications. This technology is particularly vital in railway engineering, where high precision is required for material structures, safety standards, and service life extension.
Participants included students, researchers, and engineers from various disciplines, who engaged in both theoretical and practical learning. Training activities covered techniques for fabricating and analyzing nanoscale structures in railway engineering materials, simulating material performance at the nanoscale, and conducting real-time evaluations using the Smart Microscope.
Assistant Professor Dr. Pojanasak remarked: “This collaboration between academia and the private sector elevates Thailand’s teaching and research capacity in nanoengineering, aligning it with global trends while preparing human resources for the digital-era railway industry.
