School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, Organizes a Workshop on
“Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” for International Lecturers
On October 27, 2025, the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, organized a workshop on “Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” beginning with a moment of silence to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, in remembrance of her boundless grace and contributions to the nation. Asst. Prof. Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, delivered the opening remarks and explained that the workshop aimed to enhance the teaching and learning capacity of international lecturers in applying Outcome-Based Education principles for effective classroom management and assessment, particularly in developing students’ foreign language communication skills in French, Chinese, Japanese, and English.
The workshop featured lectures and hands-on activities by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sudsuang Yudhana and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natha Kuptasthien, focusing on OBE principles aligned with international quality frameworks such as AUN-QA and EdPEx. Key topics included learning outcome assessment, program learning outcomes (PLOs), and the design of integrated learning activities. Participants included international lecturers from the Philippines, France, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan. The workshop was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Komkrit Tachom and Dr. Benjaporn Thepseenu, marking another significant step for the School of Liberal Arts in fostering a culture of learning and continuous academic development toward global standards.
