The University of Phayao, represented by Mr. Pichet Thukijit, Director of the Division of Student Affairs, participated in the “Sharing Dreams, Sharing Happiness” volunteer initiative on July 18, 2026, at Ban Nabua School, Sa Subdistrict, Chiang Muan District, Phayao Province. The initiative aimed to support educational opportunities, improve community well-being, and promote volunteerism among university students.
Led by Ms. Kitiya Khiaw-ngam, Head of the Volunteer Operations Center, 25 student volunteers from the University of Phayao Volunteer Club took part in various community service activities. The students provided lunch for schoolchildren and distributed relief packages to local residents. They also participated in the handover of computer equipment provided by the Center for Information Technology and Communication Services (CITCOMS), educational building blocks made from recycled materials provided by the Center for Environment and Sustainable Management, and learning materials from the School of Public Health. The donated resources will support teaching and learning activities and contribute to the students’ development.
The “Sharing Dreams, Sharing Happiness” initiative was organized through collaboration among the Xue Shan Foundation of Singapore, the 34th Military Circle, and the Phayao Lions Club. The initiative focused on fostering volunteer spirit and social responsibility among University of Phayao students, providing them with opportunities to learn the value of giving, engage with local communities, and make meaningful contributions to society.
The University of Phayao’s participation reflects its commitment to developing students not only academically but also as socially responsible citizens who actively contribute to community and social development. The Division of Student Affairs expressed its appreciation to all student volunteers for their dedication, teamwork, and generosity in helping create positive and sustainable change in the community.
