School of Business and Communication Arts, Welcomes Study Visit Delegation from Thaksin University’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to Exchange Best Practices in Organizational Development towards Excellence

On Thursday, 20 August 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, welcomed a study visit delegation from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Parichat Toodam, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, together with 27 administrators, faculty members, and staff. The visit took place at the Bowonrat Prasit Meeting Room, University of Phayao, with the objective of exchanging knowledge and experiences in organizational management and educational quality development.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, honoured the delegation by joining the welcoming ceremony, presenting souvenirs, and participating in a group photograph, reflecting the cordial relationship and academic cooperation between the two institutions prior to the knowledge-sharing activities.

In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyatip Kharuhayothin, Dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed her pleasure at the opportunity for both faculties to exchange experiences and best practices in organizational development based on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) framework, an important tool for enhancing management quality and promoting sustainable educational excellence.

During the study visit, the School of Business and Communication Arts presented its approaches to driving organizational excellence in accordance with the EdPEx framework. Key areas included strategic planning, performance management, the alignment of organizational indicators and results, benchmarking, listening to the Voice of the Customer (VOC), and fostering engagement with stakeholders.

The two faculties also exchanged best practices in curriculum management, educational quality development, student capacity building, and preparing learners with future-ready skills that respond to the evolving needs of the labour market.

Another area that attracted considerable interest was the School’s internationalization initiatives. The School of Business and Communication Arts shared its experiences in establishing collaborative networks with educational institutions and business establishments both in Thailand and abroad, as well as promoting opportunities for students to undertake professional internships and cooperative education programmed overseas.

Particular emphasis was placed on collaboration with educational institutions and business establishments in the People’s Republic of China, which provides students with opportunities to strengthen their professional competencies, language skills, and ability to work effectively in an international environment.

The exchange was conducted in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, with administrators, faculty members, and staff from both institutions actively sharing perspectives and experiences on organizational development, curriculum management, and student development. The delegation subsequently visited various areas of the University of Phayao and the operational facilities of the School of Business and Communication Arts to learn more about the educational environment and support systems.

This study visit marked another significant opportunity to strengthen academic networks, exchange knowledge, and build upon best practices between the two institutions. Such collaboration is expected to contribute to the continued enhancement of educational quality, organizational management, and sustainable learner development in the future.
