University of Phayao Brings Together Three Faculties to Promote Healthy Aging and Strengthen Community Health
The University of Phayao (UP) brought together three faculties to promote the health and well-being of older adults through the Sumritsuk Center. On August 14, 2026, the School of Medical Sciences, School of Dentistry, and School of Allied Health Sciences organized a community health activity at Mae Sai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Phayao Province.

The activity provided older adults with practical health knowledge, oral health promotion, health assessments, and medical laboratory follow-up. These services helped participants better understand their health, identify potential health risks at an early stage, and apply practical advice to their daily lives.

The program also provided valuable hands-on learning for students from the three faculties. By working directly with older adults in a community setting, students practiced health communication, health assessment, and professional care while developing teamwork and interpersonal skills. The experience helps prepare them for future careers in the health sector.

The Sumritsuk Center serves as a practical platform connecting education, academic services, and community health care. By bringing together expertise from different health disciplines, the center creates benefits for both the community and students while strengthening UP’s commitment to improving people’s quality of life and supporting sustainable community development.
