On July 21, 2023, Physical Therapy team from AHS UP led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ajchamon Thammachai, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Community Innovation, hosted PT Community Health at Sankwang Village, Moo 3, Sritoi Subdistrict, Maejai county, Phayao, which was a part of Community Health in Physical Therapy II course. The event was an opportunity for students to practice and evaluate the community problems as well as tackle issues in PT. Students could utilized their skills and knowledge to cope with the health problems of community including monitoring, evaluating, problem-solving skills in PT. Once problems had set, the solution and treatments were performed such as diagnosis, evaluation, presumptive action, rehabilitation, and health promotion.
Six groups of students had performed preventive actions in diabetes, hypertension, back pains, exercise, pedicure, and nutritional advise. Health volunteers resided in the region were recruited along with other villagers. 55 of 4th year PT students, 8 lecturers, 60 villagers and health volunteers from the networks joined the event.
