The School of Business and Communication Arts Participates in AI Upskilling Workshop on Learning Management and Learning Innovation

On 14 September 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyatip Kharuhayothin, Dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Pornphan Chandang, Chair of the Bachelor of Communication Arts Program in New Media Communication, and Assistant Professor Dr. Bang-on Sawatsuk, lecturer in the Bachelor of Accountancy Program, participated in a workshop entitled “Applying Artificial Intelligence to Learning Management: Creating Learning Innovations” at the Thai Peacock Learning and Conservation Center Building, University of Phayao. The workshop was organized by the Division of Educational Services, University of Phayao, with the aim of enhancing academic staff capabilities in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to support and improve learning management.

The workshop featured a lecture on “Applying Artificial Intelligence to Learning Management: Creating Learning Innovations” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Anucha Somabut, Assistant to the President for Education Affairs, Khon Kaen University. The session provided knowledge, concepts, and practical approaches to applying AI in the design and development of learning management in response to educational contexts and ongoing technological changes.

The workshop focused on enhancing academic staff knowledge and skills in using AI tools to support the learning management process. It encouraged lecturers to appropriately design and create learning innovations, as well as develop learning materials and activities and implement measurement and assessment methods that are aligned with course learning outcomes.

In addition, the workshop emphasized building networks and promoting knowledge exchange on the application of AI in teaching and learning within the university. This was intended to enable academic staff to apply the knowledge and tools gained from the workshop to enhance student learning effectively, appropriately according to the context of each course, and in line with developments in educational technology.

The participation in this workshop forms part of the School of Business and Communication Arts’ efforts to enhance the capabilities of its academic staff. It supports the appropriate application of AI technology in learning management, promotes the creation of learning innovations, and enables the knowledge gained to be further applied to improve student learning processes in an effective manner and in accordance with the changing educational context in an era of continuous technological advancement.
