The School of Political and Social Science, the University of Phayao, have implemented an internal educational quality assessment project at the curriculum level for the Academic Year 2022. The assessment is conducted between July 25-26, 2023.
The School of Political and Social Sciences is regarded as a faculty that demonstrated how to administer the curriculum according to the curriculum quality assurance standards set by the Office of the Higher Education Commission or (OHEC). The criteria for assessing the AUN-QA curriculum has been taught at the bachelor's level. The 3 courses are, The Bachelor of Political Science, Bachelor of Public Administration (Public Innovation Management), and the Bachelor of Arts (Social Development). There is also a master's degree program, a Master’s of Public Administration. The content of these degrees focuses on organizing and assessing the quality of education within the curriculum level for the academic year 2022. This is in accordance with AUN-QA standards for all programs in the School.
The self-assessment reports (SAR) were prepared for the internal assessors for the University of Phayao to meet the qualification of AUN-QA, with consisting of 11 criteria covering Expected Learning Outcomes, Programme Structure and Content, Teaching and Learning Approaches, Student Assessments, Academic Staff, Student Support Services, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Output and Outcomes.
The assessment project also emphasizes the importance of listening to suggestions for curriculum development, curriculum teaching management style and measurement and evaluation of the admission graduate production curriculum design. This will help in determining the expected learning outcomes that will lead to the achievement of further educational achievements.
