School of Liberal Arts Participates in Curriculum Redesign Workshop

for Program-Level Quality Assurance and Accreditation

 

     On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School, participated in the Curriculum Redesign Workshop for Program-Level Quality Assurance and Accreditation. Joining the workshop were Assistant Professor Dr. Sukanya Kaowiwattanakul, Chair of the Ph.D. in English Program; Assistant Professor Dr. Rattana Yawiloeng, Chair of the M.A. in English Program; and Dr. Benjaporn Thepseenu, Chair of the B.A. in English Program. The event took place at the Active Learning Room, University of Phayao.


     Key activities included stakeholder analysis, formulation of program learning outcomes (PLOs), instructional design, assessment planning based on constructive alignment principles, and curriculum quality management strategies. These efforts are intended to ensure that the curriculum meets the expected outcomes and supports continuous improvement in higher education quality standards.

 

     The workshop was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao.

 

     The Curriculum Redesign initiative aims to enhance academic staff's understanding of current trends and future directions in curriculum development. The project focuses on aligning programs with modern educational standards and equipping students with the skills necessary to adapt to rapid changes and face emerging global challenges.
