On Friday, June 13, 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized the “Activity for Monitoring the Progress of Laboratory Safety Standards Development” at the EN4406 Seminar Room. The main objective of the activity was to evaluate the progress of laboratory safety practices across all academic programs, while also promoting systematic and sustainable development in this area.
During the session, laboratory instructors and personnel responsible for laboratory safety from each academic program participated in presenting their operational guidelines, improvements, and development plans in various related areas. These included chemical management, installation of safety signage and equipment, as well as laboratory user training.
The activity was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Erawin Thavorn, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration. They were joined by the program chairs of the four Bachelor of Engineering programs, who served on the evaluation committee and emphasized the importance of fostering a strong safety culture within educational institutions.
