School of Liberal Arts Organizes French for Professional Purposes Project Activity 2

     On Monday, July 21, 2025, the French Language Program, School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, organized the second activity under the French for Professional Purposes project, led by Dr. Suwanna Dolparadorn.

     This activity featured an online training session via MS Teams, focusing on two topics: “Iconography in Buddhist Art” and “Art in Lampang: Local Wisdom and Inspirations from Other Artistic Traditions.” The session was honored by Dr. Sura Piriyasanguanphong, Lecturer in the Buddhist Art Studies Program at Mahamakut Buddhist University and an expert in Thai-Burmese art history, who served as the guest speaker.

     The training aimed to provide participants with knowledge in Buddhist art and art history, and to prepare students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts programs in French and in French-English for the course 145461 French for Tour Guiding. This preparation is essential before their field training as French-speaking tour guides in Lampang Province, scheduled for August 16–17, 2025.

     The School of Liberal Arts also welcomed participation from students of other institutions, including Mahamakut Buddhist University, Ramkhamhaeng University, and independent scholars, fostering an environment of shared learning and academic exchange.
