School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized an activity entitled “The Financial Blueprint: Designing the Path to Wealth for Engineers” for its students from 20 to 21 September 2025 at rooms EN4201 and EN4206, School of Engineering Building. The event was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration Development, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Apisak Witthayaprapakorn, Head of the Center for Engineering Research and Academic Services, who served as keynote speakers and workshop facilitators.
The activity aimed to prepare engineering students to effectively manage real-world financial challenges and to cultivate well-rounded graduates who are successful both professionally and personally. To achieve this, the session employed the board game “Net Worth: Rich in Assets, Rich in Happiness” as an interactive learning tool, enabling participants to engage in simulated financial scenarios and gain practical experience in a safe, risk-free environment.
This board game proved to be an effective educational medium that encouraged active participation and transformed complex financial concepts into an engaging and accessible learning experience. It also helped strengthen students’ financial resilience and fostered a positive mindset toward personal financial management. The initiative aligns with the School of Engineering’s strategic goals to develop competent, future-ready engineers who can lead stable, fulfilling lives and contribute meaningfully to society.
