University of Phayao Signs MOU with Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) to Strengthen Academic Collaboration
January 12, 2026 — The University of Phayao (UP), Thailand, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST), Taoyuan, Taiwan. The MOU was co-signed by Dr. Jun-Yu Fan, President of CGUST, marking an important step forward in enhancing international academic collaboration between the two institutions.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Dao Weiangkham, Dean of the School of Nursing, University of Phayao, joined the ceremony as a witness, underscoring the School of Nursing’s commitment to advancing global engagement and partnership.
The purpose of this collaboration is to strengthen academic cooperation and foster meaningful international engagement, grounded in mutual respect, trust, and a shared belief in the value of international collaboration in higher education. Both universities aim to promote academic programs, student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and cooperation in teaching and learning—creating opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers to broaden perspectives and enhance professional development.
