University of Phayao Signs MOU with Chang Gung University (Taiwan) to Promote Academic Exchange, Research Collaboration, and International Networking
January 12, 2026 — The University of Phayao (UP), Thailand, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chang Gung University (CGU), Taoyuan City, Taiwan, represented by Professor Ming-Je Tang, Ph.D., President of Chang Gung University. The signing reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to expanding international cooperation in education and research.
In addition, Associate Professor Surasak Saokaew, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, participated in the ceremony as a witness, reaffirming the School’s role in strengthening international academic partnerships.
The purpose of the collaboration is to promote cooperation in education, academic activities, and academic research, while fostering academic linkages and enriching cross-cultural understanding. The partnership also emphasizes academic exchange, joint research, and institutional collaboration to achieve meaningful and mutual benefits for both universities.
Furthermore, the partnership was reinforced through academic engagement at the Mini-Symposium & Research Networking Session of The 1st International Colloquium on Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Leadership (HEAL), bringing together experts from Thailand and Taiwan to exchange insights on timely topics and strengthen research networks for future collaboration.
