The University of Phayao, through its Center for Environmental and Sustainable Management, participated in the 4th SUN Thailand Roadshow Meeting 2025 on 3 February 2026, joining representatives from more than 64 universities nationwide to exchange best practices in advancing sustainable development in higher education.
On this occasion Dr. Prus Pingmuanglek Director, Center of Environment and Sustainable Management and Chair of the SUN Thailand Carbon Neutrality Driving Working Group, presented a four-step operational framework to support greenhouse gas emission reduction and advance carbon neutrality across higher education institutions in Thailand.
In addition, the University of Phayao supported students in presenting a sustainability-focused research project entitled
“Carbon Footprint Evaluation System to Support Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction and Carbon Neutrality at the University of Phayao.”
The project introduces a web-based application designed to collect, calculate, and report carbon footprint data, supporting the university’s efforts in driving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and institutional climate action.
