School of Education won the First Runner-Up Award in the Traditional Khao Lam Roasting Competition at the 2026 “Tan Khao Mai Sai Bat Luang” Cultural Event
On January 17, 2026, the School of Education sent representatives of personnel and students to participate in the “Traditional Khao Lam Roasting” competition, which was part of the 2026 Tan Khao Mai Sai Bat Luang project. The event was held at the King Ngam Mueang Monument Plaza, Mueang Phayao District. It was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, was the president to open ceremony and Ms. Oranarpa Rohwira, Governor of Phayao Province, who delivered the welcoming remarks. The event was attended by representatives from government agencies, the public sector, and local communities across Phayao Province, who gathered to preserve, conserve, and revitalize valuable Lanna traditions, while fostering cultural awareness among youth and society.
As a result of the competition, the School of Education received the First Runner-Up Award in the Traditional Khao Lam Roasting Competition. This achievement reflects the College’s spirit of collaboration, creativity, and strong commitment to the preservation of local cultural heritage. Participation in this activity represents another significant role of the College of Education in promoting arts and cultural conservation and aligns with its mission to develop graduates who possess comprehensive knowledge alongside moral and ethical values, as well as an understanding of community roots. These efforts contribute to sustainable social development and are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
