School of ICT, University of Phayao, is preparing to serve as a co-host of the international conference ECTI DAMT and NCON 2027.

ECTI DAMT and NCON 2027
             On 5 February 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornthep Rojanavasu, Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Phayao, together with faculty members and students from the School of Information and Communication Technology, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirabhorn Chaiwongsai, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kritika Kantawong, Executive Committee Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Thailand Chapter and ECTI Northern Thailand, and Assistant Dean for Integrated Education and International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Napa Rachta, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Dr. Narasak Boonthep; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakayapop Prawetjit; Dr. Sujittra Sarakhon; as well as master’s students in Computer Engineering and Geo-Informatics, and undergraduate students in Information Technology, attended the opening ceremony and presented research papers at The 11th International Conference on Digital Arts, Media and Technology (DAMT) and the 9th ECTI Northern Section Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (NCON), held from 4–7 February 2026 at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
         During the conference banquet of ECTI DAMT and NCON 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornthep Rojanavasu officially received the token of the next host, marking the formal transition of hosting responsibilities for ECTI DAMT and NCON 2027. The handover ceremony reflected the continuity of academic collaboration under the ECTI conference series and demonstrated the organizing institutions’ commitment to maintaining academic excellence, as well as to further developing the conference as a leading international platform for research, innovation, and sustainable collaboration.
The 12th International Conference on Digital Arts, Media and Technology (DAMT), jointly organized with the ECTI Northern Section Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (NCON), is scheduled to be held in Hokkaido, Japan, from 12–15 May 2027. The conference will be organized by ECTI Thailand and co-hosted by Chitose Institute of Science and Technology (CIST) and the University of Phayao, in collaboration with academic institutions and industrial partners from multiple countries.
             Hosting the upcoming conference represents a significant milestone for the ECTI DAMT and NCON series, reflecting its strategic expansion onto the international stage. The conference serves as an important forum for students, researchers, and industry practitioners to present research findings, exchange technical knowledge, and discuss recent advances in digital arts, media, and related technologies, thereby strengthening global academic and professional networks in a tangible and sustainable manner.
