On 8 May 2026, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized the “5S Activity for Room EN1101, EN1 Building, School of Engineering, University of Phayao” at the EN1101 School office. The initiative aimed to improve the workplace environment by promoting cleanliness, orderliness, and greater safety within the working area.
This activity was initiated following the discovery of a reptile (snake) inside the School office, which posed potential risks to the safety of personnel and property, while also affecting the overall working atmosphere within the School. Recognizing the importance of maintaining shared spaces and ensuring workplace safety, the School of Engineering organized the 5S activity to address the issue and prevent similar risks from occurring in the future.
The activity received active cooperation from School personnel, students, cleaning staff, and building security officers, all of whom worked together to clean the area, organize equipment, and improve the surrounding environment in a systematic and orderly manner. In addition to reducing potential hiding places for venomous animals, the implementation of the 5S principles also contributed to creating a cleaner and safer working environment, while fostering a shared sense of responsibility in maintaining communal spaces.
Furthermore, the School of Engineering, University of Phayao, remains committed to developing an environment that supports safe learning and working conditions in order to enhance the well-being and quality of life of both personnel and students.
