School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized the School of Engineering New Student Orientation Program for first-year students of the 2026 academic year on 10 June 2026 at Room UB005, U-Bali Khunupamachan Building, University of Phayao. The program was designed to prepare new students for university life by enhancing their understanding of academic study, campus life, and the transition to higher education.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, Dean of the School of Engineering, officially welcomed the new students and introduced the School, its academic programs, and School members. His address aimed to familiarize students with their new academic environment while fostering a sense of belonging and strengthening relationships within the School community.
In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Wassana Naku, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, provided an overview of the student handbook and essential academic information, including the educational system, course registration procedures, assessment and evaluation methods, as well as university regulations and academic policies relevant to student life.
Furthermore, Assistant Professor Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration Development, met with the students and offered guidance on adapting to university life, developing personal and professional competencies, and engaging in student activities and support services. His session highlighted various opportunities and resources available to help students thrive both academically and personally throughout their university journey.
Following the orientation program, senior students accompanied the freshmen to meet their first-year academic advisors in their respective programs at Rooms CE05202, CE05204, CE05302, and CE05303. During these sessions, students received program-specific information, guidance on teaching and learning approaches, and opportunities to build positive relationships with their academic advisors. These interactions play a vital role in providing ongoing academic support, mentorship, and guidance throughout the students’ studies at the University of Phayao.
