BCA Executive and Faculty Members Contribute to Area-Based Skills Development Program Level 3

On 16 June 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Waranya Chaitarin, Associate Dean for Strategic Management and Organizational Quality of the School of Business and Communication Arts (BCA), University of Phayao, participated in the presentation of Field Lab outcomes, certificate award ceremony, and recognition awards under the Area-Based Skills Development Program Level 3 for Support Staff, organized by the Division of Personnel at the Activity Area, Analysis and Medical Treatment Building, University of Phayao Hospital, School of Medicine.

The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpho, President of the University of Phayao, and attended by university executives, speakers, mentors, and Social Return on Investment (SROI) experts. Participants presented the results of ten community-based projects, demonstrating the application of SROI principles to assess and create tangible social value and sustainable community impact.

The School of Business and Communication Arts played a significant role in the program through the active involvement of its faculty members as speakers, mentors, and SROI experts. The BCA representatives included Dr. Jaruwan Posayanon, Assistant to the President; Mr. Nattawut Samayaron, Assistant to the President; Dr. Warat Matthayomburut, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer; Asst. Prof. Dr. Angkana Pantuak, Deputy Director of the Institute for Innovative Learning; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ariya Phaokruang, Chair of the Bachelor of Economics Program; Dr. Ruangrong Suwannakan, Lecturer in Economics; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Niramol Promnil, Lecturer in Tourism and Hotel Management.

Their contributions were instrumental in guiding project teams throughout the program, providing expertise in community engagement, project evaluation, and Social Return on Investment analysis. The participation of BCA faculty reflects the School’s commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, and sustainable development through knowledge transfer and capacity building.

During the ceremony, the President of the University of Phayao awarded certificates to 138 participants who successfully completed the program. Outstanding project teams were also recognized, with Team 2 “Aeb Ong Or” receiving the First Prize, Team 7 “Kaeng Ba Nun” receiving the First Runner-Up Award, and Team 8 “Kaeng Hang Lay” receiving the Second Runner-Up Award.

The Area-Based Skills Development Program Level 3 serves as an important platform for strengthening the capabilities of university personnel while fostering meaningful partnerships with local communities. Through the integration of academic knowledge and SROI methodology, the program contributes to sustainable social and economic development in alignment with the University of Phayao’s mission of serving society.
