The University of Phayao participated in the Learning Promotion Teachers Development Program on 15 June 2026 at Khum Phucome Hotel, Chiang Mai, to strengthen the capacity of Department of Learning Encouragement (DLE) teachers as Innovation Educators who can drive community-based economic development through higher education, science, research, and innovation.
Representing the University President, Associate Professor Phanintra Teeranon, Ph.D.Assistant to the President, joined the program, which was organized through collaboration among higher education institutions in Northern Thailand. The initiative highlighted the importance of equipping teachers with the skills to design innovative, area-based learning that addresses local challenges and improves community well-being.
The University of Phayao contributes to this mission through its Technology Clinic and Science Park, supporting teachers with innovation and technology transfer while promoting sustainable local development. The University also plays a key role in coordinating the Innovative City & Learning Village Award 2026, reinforcing its commitment to transforming academic knowledge into practical innovations that benefit communities and connect local development with international platforms.
