The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Electrical Engineering School of Engineering University of Phayao, organized the "Volunteer Service Project for Electrical Engineering Students" on Sunday, 28 June 2026, at Wat Mo Kaeng Thong Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. The project was generously supported by the Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. The King's Patronage, Northern Region Chapter 1, and YIP IN TSOI & COMPANY LIMITED.
The initiative was designed to provide students with experiential learning opportunities while cultivating the values of selflessness, social responsibility, and teamwork. The project's principal activities involved volunteer services dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the temple's surroundings, encouraging students to contribute meaningfully to the local community while developing a strong sense of public responsibility.
In addition to the volunteer activities, participants attended a training session entitled "Chinnasa Meditation (Meditation for Self-Mastery)", organized by the Chittanupap Institute. The session was delivered by Phra Khru Palad Somboon Punnasiri Abbot of Wat Mo Kaeng Thong, who served as the guest lecturer. The training aimed to strengthen students' mental resilience by enhancing mindfulness, concentration, and emotional regulation—essential competencies for academic success, personal development, and future engineering practice. Furthermore, the programme equipped participants with practical strategies for rational decision-making, perseverance, and effective performance under pressure.
Through the integration of community service and mental development, the project reinforced the School's commitment to producing engineering graduates who possess not only technical competence but also strong ethical values, emotional intelligence, and a genuine sense of social responsibility. These qualities are fundamental to preparing future engineers capable of making meaningful contributions to their communities and to society as a whole.
