On June 26, 2026, Mr. Jeerawat Manngan, Director of the Division of Building and Facilities, University of Phayao, assigned the Utilities and Maintenance Section, led by Mr. Thanawit Sridoungkham, Head of the Utilities and Maintenance Section, together with staff members, to welcome Mr. Athiwat Sae-iew, guest lecturer, and a group of 84 fourth-year students from the Faculty of Engineering, Electrical Engineering program, enrolled in the High-Voltage Electrical Systems course, on a study visit to the 115 kV substation of the University of Phayao.
The university's 115 kV substation serves as a critical infrastructure component in managing the university's electrical system, ensuring stable and efficient power supply to support the operation of academic buildings, laboratory buildings, dormitories, and various units throughout the university.
During this study visit, students learned about high-voltage electrical systems through hands-on exposure at an actual operational site. They gained knowledge of the substation's components, the operating principles of high-voltage electrical systems, the equipment used within the substation, as well as management practices, maintenance procedures, and safety measures for operations.
The Division of Building and Facilities, University of Phayao, remains committed to supporting teaching and practical learning for students by providing opportunities to study the university's infrastructure and utility systems. This initiative bridges classroom knowledge with real world experience and helps build professional skills for students in preparation for their future careers.
