School of Engineering University of Phayao, assigned Mr. Anukul Suriyachai and Mr. Piyapong Yaruang, Instructors in the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Industrial Engineering and specialists in CNC machining technology, to serve as the School's representatives and members of the judging panel for the 31st National Skills Competition (Northern Regional Round). The competition was held from 8–10 July 2026 at the Institute for Skill Development 10 Lampang, Lampang Province.
During the competition, both experts were entrusted with evaluating contestants' performances and adjudicating the results in strict accordance with the established rules, technical standards, and assessment criteria. Their responsibilities were to ensure that the competition was conducted efficiently, transparently, impartially, and in full compliance with national standards, while accurately reflecting the professional competencies and technical proficiency of participants across various occupational disciplines.
The National Skills Competition serves as a vital national platform for advancing Thailand's workforce development and promoting vocational excellence in line with international standards. The competition encourages young people and skilled workers to continuously enhance their knowledge, technical expertise, and professional competencies in response to rapid technological advancement and the evolving demands of the labour market. It also provides participants with valuable opportunities to demonstrate their technical capabilities, exchange professional experiences, and prepare for higher levels of competition. Ultimately, the initiative contributes to strengthening the nation's human capital, fostering economic value creation, and enhancing Thailand's competitiveness on both the national and international stages.
