On 16 July 2026, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Anujit Phumiphan, Assistant Dean, together with Ms. Phimphaka Kaewsar, Head of the School Office, and School personnel, participated as representatives of the School in the merit-making and alms-giving ceremony entitled "Huam Jai Tak Bat: Welcoming New Students to the University of Phayao", held in celebration of the 16th Anniversary of the University of Phayao. The event was organized by the Central Administration Division, Meetings and Ceremonial Affairs Unit, at the Phra Buddha Phuchakharak Shrine Plaza and the Srimuang Hall, Wiang Phayao Building, University of Phayao.
The ceremony brought together the University's executives, School members, professional staff, students, and representatives from various academic and administrative units to participate in Buddhist religious rites and offer dry food and essential provisions to 16 Buddhist monks, symbolizing auspiciousness in commemoration of the University's 16th anniversary while warmly welcoming new students into the University of Phayao community.
The event reflected the University's enduring commitment to preserving and promoting Buddhist traditions, safeguarding Thailand's rich cultural heritage, and fostering a strong sense of unity, mutual respect, and belonging among its administrators, personnel, and students. These shared values constitute an integral part of the University's institutional identity and organizational culture, reinforcing its mission as it enters its sixteenth year of advancing higher education in service of sustainable community and societal development.
