School of Engineering University of Phayao, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Anujit Phumiphan, Assistant Dean, participated in the University of Phayao Annual University Walk Tradition for the 2026 Academic Year on 18 July 2026 at the King Naresuan the Great Monument Plaza, University of Phayao.
Representing the School's executive administration, Assistant Professor Dr. Anujit Phumiphan, together with the School's administrators, academic staff, and support personnel, led the procession of newly admitted students while ceremonially carrying traditional Lanna offerings. The procession covered a distance of more than four kilometres before arriving at the Phra Buddha Phuchakarak, the revered Buddha image of the University of Phayao, where participants paid homage to seek blessings and express reverence, faith, and auspicious wishes prior to embarking on their university journey.
The Annual University Walk Tradition is one of the University's longstanding and highly valued cultural practices, organised annually to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Lanna arts, culture, and traditions. The event provides first-year students with an opportunity to appreciate the region's cultural foundations while fostering moral values, ethical awareness, gratitude, and a strong sense of belonging and pride as members of the University of Phayao community.
