On August 24, 2026, the Division of Building and Facilities, University of Phayao, organized the "Work Capacity Development Project for Temporary Employees, Fiscal Year 2026," based on the Occupational Safety Officer Curriculum. Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape, presided over the opening ceremony as chairman. Also in attendance were Mr. Nattawut Somyarone, Assistant to the President; Mr. Jeerawat Manngan, Director of the Division of Building and Facilities; heads of work units; personnel; and temporary employees of the Division of Building and Facilities.
The training covered several key topics, including knowledge of occupational safety, the roles and responsibilities of safety officers, hazard prevention and control, hazard identification and risk assessment in the workplace, the preparation of safety manuals, as well as laws related to occupational safety, health, and the working environment. Instructor Natthapong Matek, Dr. Ritkorn Sompan, and Mr. Thanwa Bamrungsilp served as speakers, sharing their knowledge and practical guidelines on workplace safety.
This project aims to promote personnel capacity development and raise awareness of the importance of workplace safety, enabling participants to apply their knowledge correctly, safely, and effectively. It also seeks to reduce work-related risks and foster a safe working environment at the University of Phayao.
