On Saturday, 23 August 2026, the School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized the activity “Graduation Preparation and Resume-Building Techniques for Greater Employment Opportunities” at PKY1 Classroom, University of Phayao. The activity was designed to prepare students for their transition into the world of work while equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for job applications, professional communication, and effective collaboration in the workplace.
The opening session was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Wassana Naku, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, who delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a special lecture entitled “Resume-Building Techniques and Preparation for Graduation,” delivered by Ms. Saisunee Techa, a guest speaker from JONTOPGUN. The session provided students with practical guidance on preparing for the recruitment process, as well as strategies for effectively presenting their competencies, qualifications, and experiences through a well-structured and compelling resume.
The activity also featured a practical workshop, in which students engaged in hands-on learning and practice through scenarios designed to reflect real-world workplace contexts. Key topics included techniques for creating distinctive and compelling resumes and understanding employee selection processes and organizational expectations. These activities enabled students to gain insights into employers’ perspectives and apply such knowledge appropriately when preparing their job application documents.
The activity reflects the School of Engineering’s commitment to holistic student development, with an emphasis on cultivating both Hard Skills and Soft Skills. Through such initiatives, students are equipped with engineering knowledge alongside essential employability competencies, including job application skills, professional communication, teamwork, and presentation skills. These competencies enable students to articulate their potential more effectively when applying for employment and to adapt confidently to diverse organizational environments.
Ultimately, the activity serves as an integral component of the School’s efforts to strengthen students’ career readiness and employability prior to graduation, enabling them to make a confident and effective transition from higher education into their chosen professional pathways.
