On September 3, 2026 School of Engineering University of Phayao represented by Ms. Pimpaka Kaewsa, Head of the School Office, participated in the Networking Activity with Government Agencies in Phayao Province as part of a training session on organizational legal matters under the theme “Human Firewall: Enhancing Cybersecurity Awareness, Protecting Data, and Strengthening Security in Government Operations” The event was held at the Graduate School of Education Conference Room, Academic Building (PKY) and organized by the Legal Division, University of Phayao.
The activity was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge, awareness, and fundamental cybersecurity skills, while fostering a comprehensive understanding of cyber threats that may arise in the context of government operations. Key areas addressed included online scams, email-based attacks and threats through digital communication channels, data and password management, as well as preventive measures and appropriate responses to information security incidents.
The training emphasized the practical application of cybersecurity knowledge in the workplace and encouraged participants to recognize their role as a “Human Firewall.” This concept highlights the importance of organizational personnel as the first line of defense against cyber threats, working in conjunction with technological safeguards and institutional security systems to reduce cybersecurity risks.
The School of Engineering’s participation in this activity represents another important step toward strengthening the cybersecurity knowledge and awareness of its personnel. It supports the responsible, informed, and secure use of digital technologies, while encouraging active participation in data protection, cyber-risk reduction, and the systematic enhancement of information security across the University of Phayao.
