School of Engineering at University of PHAYAO held the Project Day event for the academic year 2024 on February 16, 2024. This event provided an opportunity for fourth-year undergraduate students to present their creative projects, demonstrating their diverse innovative ideas and the application of knowledge gained in specialized courses.
The activities included a competition where 15 projects, submitted by students, were evaluated. The competition was honored by the presence of the chairperson of department. The projects competed in three categories:
• Project of Community Change Agent
• Project of UI Green
• General Project
The winning projects in each category were as follows:
Community Change Agent Category:
1st Prize: Project on developing a natural dye pattern printing system to create added value for the community. Presented by a student from the Mechanical Engineering program, guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuttanon pongpanit as the advisor.
UI Green Category:
1st Prize: Project on wastewater treatment and electricity generation using biofuel cells. Presented by a student from the Mechanical Engineering program, guided by Dr. Fontip jinuntuya as the advisor.
General Category:
1st Prize: Project on developing a program to calculate energy loss in fluid flow using spreadsheet software. Presented by a student from the Mechanical Engineering program, guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopparat katkhaw as the advisor.
The event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, the Dean of School of Engineering, who inaugurated the activities. Faculty members visited the students' works at Gear Space, School of Engineering, University of PHAYAO.
