On June 24, 2025, twenty-three senior students from the Mechanical Engineering Program, School of Engineering, University of Phayao — focusing on Mechanical Engineering Technology for Agricultural and Food Industries — took part in an educational visit to the Food Innovation Prototype Development Learning Center, operated by the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer at the University of Phayao. They were joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wasan kamsanam, the program chair, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sutthinan srirattayawong, a school member from the specialized track.
The purpose of this visit was to equip students with hands-on knowledge of machinery and tools used in contemporary food processing industries. It provided a meaningful learning experience focused on production line layout and factory planning that complies with industrial certification standards. Additionally, students gained insight into the functionality of various equipment, helping bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world applications.
This site visit highlights the curriculum’s dedication to integrating academic instruction with industry demands while broadening students’ experiential learning. Activities like this are essential in preparing future mechanical engineers with the skills and perspective necessary for professional success.
