Medical Technology Program Advances Curriculum Quality Toward Professional Standards Through Course- and Program-Level Learning Outcome Verification

Advances Curriculum Quality Toward Professional Standards Through Course- and Program-Level Learning Outcome Verification

The Medical Technology Program, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao, organized the project entitled “Course-Level Learning Outcome Verification and Program-Level Verification for the Medical Technology Curriculum” on 18 May 2026, from 09.00 a.m. to 04.30 p.m. at the Active Learning Room, CE Building. The event was attended by faculty members and supporting staff involved in teaching and learning management, all of whom united in their commitment to systematically advancing the educational quality of the program in alignment with professional and higher education standards.

The project was conducted under the principles of educational quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on verifying students’ learning achievements at both the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) levels. The initiative aimed to evaluate the alignment among course design, instructional management, assessment and evaluation methods, as well as the actual learning outcomes attained by students. This process ensures consistency with the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF) and responds effectively to the expectations of graduate employers within today’s healthcare system.

The program also provided a valuable platform for academic dialogue, collaborative reflection, and the analysis of educational practices in multiple dimensions. Participants jointly identified institutional strengths, areas for improvement, and strategic approaches for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), ultimately contributing to the development of Medical Technology graduates who possess academic excellence, professional competencies, ethical integrity, and readiness for effective practice within the healthcare profession.

Furthermore, the project underscored the program’s aspiration to cultivate a sustainable culture of educational quality within the organization through the enhancement of modern, transparent, and accountable learning processes. Key performance indicators included the verification of no less than 80 percent of all courses and the implementation of instructional improvements in no less than 70 percent of courses based on verification outcomes. These measures reflect the program’s steadfast commitment to educational excellence and reinforce confidence among students, graduate employers, and the professional community.
